Celeste Benson serves as a Re-entry Case Manager at Changing Perceptions, supporting returning citizens as they identify their needs, navigate community resources, and build individualized paths toward stability. With more than nine years of experience in human services, Celeste brings expertise in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, substance-use recovery, treatment planning, housing stabilization, advocacy, and care coordination. Before joining Changing Perceptions, Celeste held direct-service and supervisory roles with Sasha Bruce Youthwork, McAlister Institute, Catholic Charities’ Rachel’s Women’s Center, Association House, and the National Runaway Safeline. This work included supporting youth, families, adults experiencing homelessness, and individuals navigating behavioral-health and justice-system challenges. Celeste holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and corrections from Westwood College and an associate degree in psychology from Roosevelt University. Celeste is committed to meeting every participant with empathy, dignity, and accountability while connecting them with the resources and sustained support needed to move forward.
